Description

Give your boring trash can wheels a little personality! These are flat-faced decorative covers designed to fit over standard trash can wheels 9 inches or higher. Multiple styles are available, and I’m open to custom style requests if there’s a specific wheel design you want to see!

NOTE: As these are flat-faced multi-color prints, they require an AMS. If you do not have one, you might check out some other Makerworld designers who have modeled true 3D versions.

There are three mounting versions included with each profile:

Press-fit

The press-fit version is designed for trash cans that have a 30mm / 1.18in center nub/cap/bolt protruding from the middle of the wheel. This version fits snugly over that center nub and holds itself in place. I would highly recommend using hot glue or ivy tape as extra insurance! If your wheel does not have a center nub/cap/bolt this size, use the glue-on or screw-in version instead.

Dimensions:

Glue-on

This is the simplest version. It's a flat 1mm thick rim face that can be glued directly onto the wheel.

Dimensions:

MillimetersInches
205 × 205 × 1 mm8.07 × 8.07 × 0.04 in

Screw-in

This version includes screw mounting points so the rim can be attached more securely. It needs to be said that you must accept full responsibility for screwing stuff into your trash can wheels!

Dimensions:

MillimetersInches
205 × 205 × 4 mm8.07 × 8.07 × 0.16 in

Screw requirements:

Max thread diameter4.25 mm0.17 in

Printing

All models print face-down with no supports except for the screw-in version (which are minimal).

Notes

  • These are flat, slicer-painted models, not “true” 3D sculpted wheels.
  • Do not print in 1 color, or you will get a blank faceless wheel cover!
  • You can change the color of anything very easily using your slicer's Paint tool.
  • These are meant to be fun cosmetic covers, not functional or structural wheel parts.
