Description

My wife and I bought some sheer curtains to cover the balcony sliding door/windows to prevent neighbors from peeping in when the blinds are open. The wind was kind of crazy this morning and was blowing the curtains open, so I took some spare magnets I had and used them to keep them closed. Then I decided I wanted little handles for the magnets and created these in Tinkercad. They're nothing fancy and I'm sure there are plenty of these on Maker World but I needed them to fit the magnets I was using and it seemed quicker to just make up something in Tinkercad. The magnets used are 20x2mm in size, available at Maker's Supply. That magnets stick out slightly from the bottom and need Super Glue to be held in place. I may update the design to be more pressure fit, but for now Super Glue works.

 

P.S. They also work as fridge magnets… Though they won't hold much weight without sliding down of course.

 

As you can see in the plate photo the supports come off clean, half the time remaining on the plate, the other half having to use flush cutters to grab and pull them out.

 

!! POLARITY WARNING: Double-check your magnet orientation before gluing! Make sure the exposed faces attract each other so the hooks pull together rather than push apart. !!
