Description
A remix of a gridfinity base which included the logo and a light channel. I liked the logo, I didn't need the channel for the LED lighting, and I didn't like seeing the seam in the middle of the base, so I shifted it behind the screen. The magnets were also way too lose, so I reduced the diameter of the holes to make them press-fit, but added little channels to make it easier to snap them in and pry them out.

I love the design, and I get that it needs extra space to allow room for the top door handle. It seems thicker than it needs to be. Is there something I am missing?

I just took a look, and it could be made 3 or 4mm thinner, without compromising any of the magnets. That would bring the handle right to the bottom of the front two magnets. I'd have to run a test print, but that's only a couple layers savings.

Hey @pearce, I've upload a new model in the second print profile. It's a low-profile version, 8mm shorter than the other model. I made it as thin as possible, which required removing two magnets. If you have a short 1x1 or 1x2 to use in that grid, it shouldn't be an issue.

printed quickly and got right to the top of the printer. haven't yet placed the magnets, but in testing they fit easily.

I really like this version of the gridfinity base. The previous version I chose covered the button on top of the X1C, this version doesnt.
