Description
About:
In this project I use a Bluetooth amplifier board with a TPA 3116 using only one channel. However, since the speaker is mono, I connected the Bluetooth input in mono to avoid losing details of the music played on the other channel.
Speaker
I use a 5.5-inch speaker and a tweeter removed from an old JBL CM 52, already using its passive crossover.
The sound is spectacular, but with reservations. When used near a wall, the bass seems much louder than the speaker itself, and in open spaces it loses a bit of SPL, but it still sounds good.
Print Settings:
- 3 walls
- 25-50% infill
- Gyroid
- Fuzzy Skin: i painted with rubber textured spray to get a stronger finish
- Support structure: set the threshold to 29, to get off unnecessary suport
Sound:
The box is tuned to play from 50-20,000Hz (-6dB).
You can change the depth of the bass port to alter the frequency response, as well as the size of the enclosure itself.
