Description

UPDATED to V2

V2 now has a hidden mounting plate for a slim design and easy installation.
Make sure to mount the plate with the hole named “up” in the up position.
Use at least 4 perimeters on the mounting plate due to stress on this part.
Version 1 can still be downloaded for those who prefer that one.

UPDATES:
231210 - New mounting plate for better durability with a center-mounted screw
231210 - Change in hole position UP for mounting plate for tighter mounting , Previuse design was a bit lose.

Print instructions

Category: Vehicles Summary

My own version of a wall-mounted Type 2 charging cable holder for an electric vehicle.
Contact snaps in place and a lip to hang the cable over for nice and neat cable management.
Easy one-hand release mechanism.

Make sure to print the "Lever" laying down as in the STL file for the best strength and less chance for it to snap off.

For the mounting plate make sure to use at least 4 perimeters to prevent breaking the threaded connection.

Designed to use a Spring from any ballpoint pen. Just cut it to a good length around 10-15mm. Just make sure it can compress enough for the lock to open.

Printed on an A1 with Bambu Lab Basic PETG. Generally printed good but the first layer for the main body was not perfect. Also the inner thread on the main body had some defects on the first spiral. Not sure if this is an issue on my side or the print profile does not work for the A1 with Bambu PETG.

The print profile is no longer public
