Description
I needed to repair a toilet seat and didn't like the hinge bolt offerings here on MakerWorld so I decided to model my own. It is based on the broken one I have but optimized for 3d printing.
It is designed with flat faces on the bolt to allow it to be printed horizontally in PETG for enhanced strength. The bolt head slides on the shaft and snugly snaps onto the top of the bolt.
There is a flat blade screwdriver slot in the top of the bolt as well as a 15mm hex head for easy installation. Strongly recommend to only use a nut driver if utilizing the hex head to prevent overtightening.
There two options for the nut, one standard and one with a large wing. The nut with the large wing can wedge against the toilet bowl exterior to allow all the tightening to happen on the topside of the hinge.
An optional washer is included as well if necessary. Happy printing!
