Spiral flower pot – Modern Minimal Design for 3D Printing

A clean and modern spiral planter designed specifically for FDM 3D printing.
The flowing helical ribs create a soft organic look while also reinforcing the structure of the pot.

This model is optimized to print easily on most consumer 3D printers without supports.

Printing Recommendations

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Wall count: 3–4 perimeters
  • Infill: 10–15%
  • Supports: Not required
  • Material: PLA / PETG recommended
  • Seam position: Back or aligned
  • Arachne wall generator recommended
  • Monotonic top surfaces enabled for cleaner finish

Scaling

The model scales very well.

You can:

  • scale it down for small succulents,
  • or scale it up for larger plants.

Recommended scaling range:

  • 70% → small decorative planter
  • 100% → standard desktop planter
  • 130–180% → large statement planter

The planter shown in the photo was printed at 70% scale.

Notes

  • Increasing the scale also increases wall thickness and overall strength.
  • For outdoor use, PETG or ASA is recommended.
  • For best visual quality, use matte filament or silk PLA.

Suggested Print Orientation

Print directly on the bottom surface.

No supports needed.
