Double Sphere Top
This top consists of two connected spheres and, due to its special shape, has a high moment of inertia. This allows it to achieve a long and stable spin.
There are two versions:
• Standard Version
Light and easy to accelerate.
• Heavy Version
Due to its higher weight, the top spins longer and runs more smoothly.
The top is well-suited for observing physical principles such as angular momentum, inertia, and stabilization in rotational movements.
Despite its simple construction, it achieves a calm and stable spinning behavior.
Assembly Instructions:
-Cut a 2cm long piece from a toothpick (without pointed ends).
-Lightly sand the ends so everything is smooth.
-Glue the toothpick into the first part and let it cure slightly.
-Apply glue to the second half and press the two parts together.
-Let it dry and you are finished.
