The pressure drop hit the shoreline before the wave did. Emerging from the churning depths, the massive Kanto heavy-hitter broke the surface, letting out a deafening roar that shattered the sea spray. Water spiraled and crashed violently around its heavy armor, pulling the raw kinetic power of the ocean up with it as it prepared to strike.
This piece captures the sheer intimidation of a fully evolved icon in the heat of battle. The heavy, comic-book-style inking and stark white splash effects emphasize the chaotic energy of the water, while the deep blue filament brings a striking, icy pop of color to the intense shadows of the 3D depth.
