Description

Inspired by the iconic Berlin Chair designed by Gerrit Rietveld, this pencil holder transforms one of the most recognizable objects of the De Stijl movement into a practical desk organizer.

Created after studying the principles of De Stijl — harmony through geometry, abstraction, balance, and primary colors — this model reinterprets Rietveld’s sculptural furniture as a compact and functional everyday object.

The intersecting planes and clean lines of the original chair become separate storage compartments for pencils, pens, markers, brushes, rulers, or small desk accessories. It is both a useful organizer and a miniature design statement for your workspace, shelf, or wall display.

Assembly

Most pieces snap together without glue, but I recommend you use alittle bit.

After you are done printing, you should have these parts.

Take the biggest black and shortest white.
Add a little glue and put them together as shown.
Use the flat grey piece.

Add some glue and snap the pieces together.
Use some glue and snap together as shown the remaining long white piece and the black long piece.
Use some glue and assemble as shown.
Take the biggest white part and glue it on the long black piece.
Add the top black trapeze using some glue.
For the bottom grey part I use some cushions.

Then, I added some double-sided adhasive tape and put it on the black long piece.

And it is ready.
