Released

Description

Everybody knows quick releases. But their design is optimized for injection molding and
it is hard to print them strong and clean with FDM printing. So I decided to try to design it
with layer lines and layer with in mind.

Another goal was to make it as small and versatile as possible so I decided to use 25mm strap width.
Furtheremore I wanted a small but robust pin that does not break easily.
Note: I do not recommend to scale it because I tuned it for 0.4mm line width and 0.2mm line height.

I splitted it into different print profiles so it is easier to print via mobile app. Also if you want to
print the release button in a different color ( looks nicer imho ) its easier to have a single print profile
for that ( not all have dual noozles to print different color side by side )

Assemly ( like in the attached PDF )

Insert the release button into the slot and put the spring ( remove the brim before ) on top.

Make sure the button can move freely and the spring has no rough edges.

Press the two case parts firmly together. Depending on the used filament and printer it can be
a little bit harder to insert and release it at first time but a few inserts and releases later
it closes smoothly with a click.
