Balolo setup cockpit gen 1 magsafe retrofit

If you purchased the Balolo setup cockpit (medium or large) and accessorized it with their first version magsafe holder you may have noticed that it doesn't work well with newer phones (e.g., the iPhone 17). The camera bezels interfere with the magsafe mount more than the older phones, so the mount makes less of a positive connection, leading to a phone that falls a lot, cannot be turned into landscape mode, etc.

If you're like me, and don't live in Germany, you've probably noticed that shipping for the updated mount costs double the price of the mount itself. Not to mention, it's not as slick as the original, because it's essentially bent metal and a piece of 3M tape. So it's impossible for me to justify the cost.

This model is very basic, but it replaces the rubber gasket in the mount and allows you to mount a magsafe charger that is proud of the mount, making a more secure connection, allowing the phone to rotate, and fixing the flaw introduced by the newer phone designs.

No glue or tape, all press-fit, with a keyway to stop it from spinning in place and a cutaway to guide the cable. 

Please Note: 

• Not all magsafe chargers are created equal… 
  • Older chargers are generally identified by a sleeve covering about 5mm of cable next to the magsafe puck and 55.92mm diameter. 
  • Newer chargers are generally identified by a braided cable and are 55.5mm diameter.
  • It's possible that other sizes exists, but these are what I have in front of me - please measure first.
• The tolerance for fitting the two halves of the model is more forgiving than the tolerance for the magsafe charger itself. Test fit the model, but I recommend only inserting the charger when you're truly ready; otherwise you may need a flat object to pry the puck out and could damage the charger.
