Bodhidharma
Print Profile(1)

Description
Bodhidharma, the 28th Patriarch of Zen Buddhism in India and the First Patriarch of Zen Buddhism in China. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, he traveled east from India. His views did not align with Emperor Wu of Liang, so he crossed the Yangtze River on a reed to the north and meditated facing a wall for nine years at Shaolin Temple on Mount Song, calming his mind, attaining enlightenment, and finding peace through Zen.
He founded the Zen dharma gate of 'no dependence on words, directly pointing to the human mind, seeing one's nature and attaining Buddhahood'. His tranquil, solitary, robust, and steady cultivation style has been passed down through generations, embodying both Zen essence and a firm aura. It is a classic image of oriental meditation aesthetics and Zen martial arts culture, suitable for hard-core design aesthetics of pine and cypress, ancient Zen, and traditional Chinese style.
