American Football Slingshot Toy

I designed this football themed slingshot in fusion 360 because I wanted a fun toy that can be used inside and outside. So I thought of a cool idea where I could make the goal post the main slingshot body and the balls could be footballs but I wanted to make it comfortable to fit in your hand so I had to make sure that the measurement were perfect. Do not scale anything down or up as it could mess up the way it fits in your hand and will mess up the ball.

Parts:

Slingshot body: The main body is the slingshot body, it is recommended to print in yellow to replicate the color of the original goalpost, I printed it in Bambu sunflower yellow. This body should not be scaled to ensure it fits your hand comfortably. I added a hole for your finger so it is more comfortable. Don't change the infill as you risk it breaking more easy from the resistance of the rubber band. 

Football short range: This was my first creation of the football but it didn't go very far but I realized this would be great for kids because they can still have the experience without hurting anyone or breaking anything, I positioned the hole closer to the bottom so that it goes more up and it flips as a real football when it is kicked!!

Football long range: This was my third creation the second one is not included because I made the hole to far in and it easily snapped so I had to resign it but I couldn't make it to heavy or it would fall. This football goes very far it easily went from my backyard to the street. If a kid is using this please make sure there is adult supervision to prevent harm or damage to anything.

Hardware and Assembly 

One rubber band is needed to power the slingshot, the width should be under 2mm or it will not fit in the grooves. 

The flat length of the rubber band needs to be between 5 to 8 inches it can range or you can make what you have work! 

Very easy Assembly but I will show you so there is easy understanding and no confusion!

Assembly: 

First step is to lay out all the parts, you should have a ruberband and the goalpost slingshot the footballs have no assembly.

Second step is to fish the ruberband through the hole and wrap it around the grooves. 

Third step is to twist the ruberband so that it makes it one line so it doesnt split into 2 it makes it so it is stronger as well.

Fourth step is to again fish it through and to make sure it does not come undone.

Supports:

There are not many many supports but the 2 are big and can be used as tagets for your slingshot!! They are very easy to remove so there should be no problem with removing them. 

Warning: Please be aware that these balls are very small and could pose a choking hazard for young children. 

Caution: This model is small enough to be used as a projectile and could potentially cause eye injury if launched. Please handle with care.
