No longer will your precious, precious candies be stolen by rascallions and other interlopers! You rest soundly, knowing that your horde is safely protected by the Candy Vault (patent not pending).
Prints in place and requires no supports. Just load the .stl file and start printing!
Using the model
When the lid is not pressed down in the right location, the outer ring will spin around freely, but cannot come off.
When the arrow on the lid is aligned with your secret number (17 in this case) and you press down, you can loosen the lid (similar to a regular safety cap, but this one only works in a specific position).
After munching on your sweets, you put the lid back on the jar, align the arrow with your secret number and tighten the lid (make sure it is fairly tight, otherwise it can easily be brute-forced).
Enjoy your candies in peace!
Editing the model
I have included the .stl files for this model that fits on a small 400g glass Nutella jar (see list below for dimensions), I have included one file for each secret number.
However, a Fusion model is included so you can adjust the model to your own jars/needs. You can do this by opening the .f3d file in Fusion 360 and clicking on Modify → Change Parameters. Here you have access to 9 user parameters. Those you need to change to accomodate your jar are highlighted in bold. In the pictures you can find how to measure them. After editing you can export the model to an .stl or .step file. Export and print both parts together as one piece! Both parts are already oriented the right way for printing and do not require any supports.
The Candy Vault (with JAR) model also includes the following User Parameters:
For the Candy Vault (with JAR) model it is recommended you leave the other User Parameters at default, however you can change them, if you want.
If you have any questions, or cannot edit Fusion files yourself, let me know and I will see what I can do for you!
