Description

Shelf Sizes

There are three different sizes of shelves available

  • Square (1:1)
  • Wide (2:3)
  • Ultrawide(~1:2)

Each is about 127mm (or 5 inches) deep, The Ultrawide shelf is 240mm, so it will only be printable on a printer with a reasonably large print volume. The other two should be easy to print on any printer.

All shelves are compatible with all clip sizes

Clip Sizes

For the best fit - we provide a variety of sizes to (hopefully) fit every monitor. Break out your trusty calipers (or measuring tape, if you must) and measure the bezel width at the top of your monitor and with the depth of the monitor. The Clips are organized into subfolders for each supported bezel size (from 10mm to 25mm). Each folder will contain clips for each supported monitor depth.

So if you have a monitor with a bezel that is approx 19mm wide, and the monitor itself is 20.5mm thick, you would use the file located at clips - 19mm-bezel/21mm-clip.stl. For best results, you want to make sure the clip is as close to your monitor's actual measurements as possible.

Printing

I reccomend printing in PETG, since these shelves will be taking some load, but i printed a few in PLA as a test and they seem to hold up fine, so whether PETG is necessary probably depends more on how much weight you plan to put on them.

Outer Walls: 5

Infill: 20% Gyroid

Supports: No

Brim: No

STL files should already be correctly oriented for printing, and should print easily without supports.

Assembly

Assembly should be dead simple. The shelf and clip join via a custom joint built into the pair. It holds surprisingly well with no glue whatsoever, but I'd still recommend adding a bit of super glue to the joint before assembly.

Once assembled, you should be able to attach it to your monitor simply by resting the clip on the top edge of your monitor. Then you're done!

Additional Notes

These shelves work best on monitors with reasonably square top edges and require a bezel of at least 10mm to have somewhere to clip onto. Obviously the thicker the bezel, the better performance you can expect, as it will have more space to grip.

If you have a monitor thinner or thicker than what I've listed here, I've included .STEP files for further customization, if you aren't comfortable with 3d modeling, but would like an additional size, feel free to leave a comment and I can take a look!
