Description

Wanting a case to carry 6 darts I came upon the ‘Rugged Darts Case - 6 Darts - Target SwissPoint’ by Printoffel (https://makerworld.com/en/@Printoffel). Not having SwissPoint darts I adapted the inserts with the original shaftholders by Vinark (https://makerworld.com/en/@Vinark). I really liked the design but wanted a way to also carry spare flights and other loose stuff so I needed a lid to cover the storage part.

Both case were based on the ‘Rugged Box’ by Whity (https://www.printables.com/@Whity) for providing the original parametric case (Rugged Box (Parametric) by Whity | Download free STL model | Printables.com

Having previously printed the ‘DartCase Fully Printed Customisable' by DNW (https://makerworld.com/en/@DnW_), which is a very nice Print in Place 3 dart case. I really liked the PiP shaft and flight holders so I recreated them for this insert.

Big thanks to Printoffel, Vinark, DNW and Whity for their awesome work!!!

The outer rugged case by Printoffel can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/974431-rugged-darts-case-6-darts-target-swisspoint?from=search#profileId-946835

The PiP parts are rather tight but should loosen with pressure.

To loosen the PiP flight holder press top with both thumbs and rock until loose.

For the shaft holders, screw in three shafts and press at their base and rock until loose.

I've made a 6mm and a 8mm version of the Dart holder lid, print as needed.

To make the Dart Holder fit your Darts, put the barrels in it and use a heat gun (210C for a few seconds) to heat the holder and then bend it to the correct fit.

Do this BEFORE you clip the Dartholder lid in place in the insert!

You will need  6 M3x38mm (total lenght, including head and room for the nut) bolts to assemble the case. I've used printed m3 pins I've downloaded from here and which I would like to attribute to the maker but I can't find them at the moment.

I would have included the f3d file but it is a mess because I suck at Fusion.
