RPG Box

Description
This idea started with the goal of making a portable set to play simple RPGs with my son when we're not at home. Be it travel, enjoying a nice day at a park, or even sitting on the patio out back, I wanted someway of having transporting some tools to help us play. Initially I had a large aluminum tin I started to make components for. It was a little too small.
Then I found BattleMarmot's dice box. I added a grid to the lid. It's half inch scale instead of the normal one inch/25mm. It's 17x17. Then I took out some of the compartments because I wanted to add my “clip boards” this space is just a touch smaller than an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper folded in half. So you could fold up some character sheets and other printed materials. There are other spell tracker and stat tracker tools that could also fit in there.
There are boards that fit with clips, including one to hold a pencil. You might need to resize it slightly depending on the pencils you plan to use. I have a bunch of golf pencils. I also recommend putting a strip of ribbon or paper underneat with a tab to help you pull them up and out.
I also added some bits that can be used as walls, doors, trees, and river/roads to create a very simple battle map. It will still be very theater of the mind while giving the tactics of grid based combat.
For characters I used PixelMeeples - https://makerworld.com/en/models/776060-pixelmeeples-fantasy-characters-lowd?from=search#profileId-712700
For enemies I used these tokens - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2275149-enemy-token-circle-1-20#profileId-2480534
There are certainly plenty of other tokens on MakerWorld to choose from, just be mindful of scaling them to fit half inch squares.
I hope you can put this to good use, give it a boost! I'm still looking for a good rules light RPG that is good for just 2 people, drop ideas in the comments for me.
