Description

Yes, this is the famous chest from fortnite - print it, assemble it, loot it!

The 3mf file shows my recommended orientation of the parts. There are three plates, one for each colour (yellow, light grey, dark grey). The top part of the chest needs support, I am using PETG for the support interface. All other parts are support-free. If you need a brim for the small parts depends on your filament and your bedplate. To optimize adhesion you might want to use a very thin layer of glue stick.

Assembly is straight forward. Glue everything in place. Be carefull with the hinges: Place the top part of the chest on the bottom part, then glue the hinges in place. By doing so the position of the hinges will be perfect and the lid closes without a gap. The handles do not need glue.

GG loopers!

absolutely perfect. I scaled mine up to 200%, printed some v-bucks coins and put an Xbox gift card in it as a birthday gift. Note of advice, if you are not using PTEG as a support and just using PLA, clear the settings on the lid or you will never get the supports out

I plan on printing this with just PLA, what do you mean by clear the settings on the lid?

The settings when i downloaded had the supports as PETG and it fused them to the lid. So I cleared the support settings, disabled them then enabled them. When I printed again it was perfect

Amazing. Only suggestion. the hinges do not allow the lid to sit completely flat. a little carving on the hinges to free up a little more swing on the hinges worked well.

I love this print but I am disappointed in myself for choosing PLA for support. definitely go with PETG
