Description
The Chengdu J-20 (in traditional Chinese, 殲二十; in simplified Chinese, 歼二十; pinyin, Jiān èr shí; literally, ‘Multi-role Interceptor 20’) is a fifth-generation aircraft of the People's Republic of China, with Stealth technology, developed and produced by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation for the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) as an advanced technology fighter proposal against its Western counterparts. The J-20 is designed as an air superiority fighter with ground attack capability, being the world's third operational fifth-generation stealth aircraft after the F-22 and F-35.
