Description

Hi! This is one of my first 3D designs: a simple ring holder / coaster. I wanted to make something small and useful that can sit on a desk, nightstand, or bathroom counter and help keep my rings and small items in one place.

This model is designed to be two things in one:

  • A ring holder – a safe spot to put your rings, earrings, or other tiny jewellery so they don’t roll away or get lost
  • A small coaster / tray – you can also use it as a mini coaster for a cup, or as a catch‑all tray for keys, coins, or other small items

The shape is very simple on purpose so it’s:

  • Easy to print – no tiny details or tricky overhangs
  • Beginner‑friendly – good for people who are new to 3D printing
  • Quick to print – great as a first test model or a small gift

You can customise it after printing by:

  • Using different filament colouurs to match your room
  • Painting patterns or names on the top
  • Printing several and using each one for different things (rings, keys, coins, etc.)

Suggested print settings

Please adjust to your own printer and filament; these are just beginner‑friendly ideas:

  • Filament: PLA
  • Layer height: about 0.20–0.24 mm
  • Walls/perimeters: 2–3 perimeters so it’s strong enough
  • Infill: 15–25% (you can go higher if you want it heavier so it doesn’t slide)
  • Supports: usually not needed if printed flat on the bed
  • Bed adhesion: skirt or a small brim if your printer has trouble with small flat parts

If you like this simple ring holder / coaster, it would mean a lot to me if you:

  • Give it a like
  • Download and print it
  • Upload a photo of your print
  • Leave a comment with ideas on how I can improve

I’m still learning 3D design and 3D printing, and every bit of feedback helps me get better and make more models. Thank you for supporting me !
