Description

Printed labels to make it easier to find your tools. Fits my US General 44x22 boxes, but will probably fit others as well. https://www.harborfreight.com/44-in-x-22-in-double-bank-roller-cabinet-black-64443.html

I prefer to print with the text face down, because they look awesome that way, but the built in bambu studio and prusa slicer text tools don't allow flush text. Instead I generated the labels and text as separate objects, and then group them in slicer. That way I can use the AMS to color the text, and still print them face down. I preferred to do the text this way rather than include the text in the models directly and fight with the fill tools to do the coloration.

The odd looking angles of the label parts is to optimize them for printing. I started out with a clean rounded model that matched the profile of the label extrusion on the toolbox, and ended up with angles as they print better without supports, fit the extrusion well, and are hidden in the extrusion anyway.

I included multiple lengths of labels to match your text length, or alternately just scale it in one axis only in your slicer - there's no difference in the files aside from the length. The text I generated in (I'm ashamed to say) Tinkercad because it's just stupid easy to make text into STLs in that tool. I used the Sans font, and set fixed dimensions of 10mm Y and 0.48mm Z, and let the X float to the text. Use the same settings to make your own and they should match what I included already.

To print the labels, orient them face down. Add in the text objects you want (or generate new ones in the tool of your choice), align and then group them in slicer. Set the color of the text to your contrast color.

I printed them using a matte black PLA for the base, and a silver silk PLA for the text. No supports.
