Form and Symbolism

The angel's arms are tightly bound by layers of fabric, symbolizing thoughts constrained by dogma, prejudice, or the shackles of reality, unable to unfurl and express themselves. The enormous wings are fully spread, like a pair yearning to break free from a cage, forming a strong contrast with the rigid body, conveying a sense of power that 'though the body is limited, the heart still yearns'. A heavy book serves as the base, not only implying that knowledge should be the wings of thought but also metaphorically suggesting that sometimes solidified cognition can become the root of constraint.
