Description

🐍 Snake Lamp

The Snake Lamp is a unique design piece that merges organic sculptural art with the functionality of a modern home decor object. This version is crafted in PLA Galaxy, a material that, thanks to its micro-glitter, gives the snake's body a magnetic depth and a natural shimmer similar to real scales under the light.

Key Features:

  • 3-Part Modular Design: The snake's body is divided into three main segments (Base Coil, Middle Body, and Head). This system allows for easy printing and optimal detail management on each section.
  • Mechanical Alignment System: Using internal rectangular connector pins, the segments fit together with millimetric precision. This ensures the scale texture matches perfectly, eliminating any slippage during gluing.
  • Multi-Material Details: The eyes and tongue are separate components designed to be press-fitted. This allows for vivid color contrasts (such as yellow eyes and a red tongue) without the need for a multi-color printer (AMS/MMU).
  • Premium Finish with Golden Socket Cover: The project includes a 3D-printable golden cover for the lamp holder that screws directly onto the electrical part. This element hides the technical components and creates an elegant metallic contrast with the dark PLA Galaxy body.

Technical Specifications & Socket Compatibility:

  • Electrical Specs: Designed for a standard E14 socket with a fully threaded body.
  • Socket Modification (Adaptability): If you only have a standard E14 socket with a bottom ring (not fully threaded), the project remains compatible. You can easily modify it by removing the ring and using sandpaper to smooth the shape, allowing it to fit perfectly into the golden cover (detailed visual instructions are provided at the end of the gallery).
  • Material: Printed in PLA Galaxy for a superior visual effect.
  • Safety Note: Use E14 LED bulbs ONLY. The low heat emission of LEDs preserves the integrity of the PLA structure over time and ensures maximum safety.
  • Assembly: Requires cyanoacrylate glue (Super Glue) for the three main segment joints (guided by the alignment pins).

Maker's Note: This project is optimized to minimize supports and maximize aesthetic impact. The combination of the PLA Galaxy shimmer, the golden socket cover, and an E14 LED filament bulb (recommended for a vintage touch) makes this lamp an immediate showstopper.
