Description

Yet another drill bit stand. My larger drill bits needed a stand for easier access. The set mainly comprises 13mm reduced shank drill bits. I've included a few more drill bits to round out the set. This stand combines the drill bits into one location. The stand is chunky so that it can handle the long bits and the mass introduced by the drill bits.

See the Xtorque XT8RED 13mm Drill Bits Set for details of the main drill bits incorporated into the stand ...

If you have an AMS, making the test a second colour is straightforward. Use the provided 3MF and map your colour choices, accordingly.

Making the text a second colour can also be achieved by manual filament colour swap. Perform a filament colour swap near the end of the print so that the raised text is printed in another colour, making the text stand out. The filament colour swap is setup in your slicer software. Setting up the filament colour is easy in most slicers.

Once printed, a small amount of attention will be needed to fine tune the hole diameters to ensure a good fit. Just use the bits to carefully adjust the hole size to match the level of snugness fit you prefer to work with. Keep in mind with all drill bit stands, over time the holes do loosen up a little more.

My print is made in 1.75mm eSUN PLA+ White and Silver filaments, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are not required.

I hope that you can find this print useful, too.
