Description

This is a simple sign for a Gibraltar Patriot Mailbox. The size is the exact right size for the opening in the front. It is intended to be printed on a Bambu with AMS.

There are some instructions to get this to work:

  1. Use the Text tool in Bambu Studio to replace the boiler plate text with your own name and address.
  2. Bambu studio messes up the placement, but you can use the “Center” function on any object, or sub object, or a selection of multiple objects, so if you use that cleverly you get things to align just the way you want them to.
  3. Clone one of the signs. I have an address on the left and right, and my name on the front of the mailbox.
  4. Rotate the signs 180 degrees so the text is face down on the build plate.
  5. Print with PETG, or another plastic that can handle outdoor use. Black and white gives a great contrast, and I made the lettering deep enough so that it looks great without any black shining through.

I used 3M double sided tape to tape the signs to the box, and it works surprisingly well. I posted a picture of the exact roll I used.

If Amazon is out, Walmart sells them too.

(not my design, and I do not know if it's any good, but I just printed it myself to try)

The pictures of my mailbox show it all destroyed by the snow plow, an unfortunate reality of where I live. The signage came off easily. I cleaned off the old tape, washed the signs with water and soap, and installed them on the new mailbox (also in my pictures).
