Description
The ancient Dragon Throne is a symbolic artifact of Chinese feudal imperial power, specifically referring to the emperor's seat used during court assemblies or major ceremonies, with the most representative being the emperor's throne in the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing's Forbidden City. The Dragon Throne is not just a piece of furniture, but also a symbol of supreme power and the Mandate of Heaven.
In terms of design, the Dragon Throne is usually based on a wooden structure, elaborately carved throughout, and exquisitely decorated. Its core features include:
- Dragon pattern carvings: mostly five-clawed golden dragons, symbolizing imperial power
- High back and wide seat: reflecting nobility and majesty
- Integrated armrest and backrest structure: enhancing overall grandeur
- Traditional auspicious patterns such as cloud patterns, flame patterns, and sea cliff patterns
