Description

Working on electronics projects is bound to leave a messy desk! Thus, I decided to come up with an efficient yet elegant solution. This model implements a multi-layer tray design, which allows easy access to stored components, as well as freedom of customizability and modularity. The trays can be easily swapped to suit your needs, while the base offers plenty of extra storage space. All parts are designed to fit tightly onto the frame, forming a robust and aesthetic desk piece.

The frame was printed using LVVJ3D teak wood PLA, whose outer wall printing speed was dropped to 60 mm/s, resulting in a dimensionally accurate and pristine final result.  The trays utilize an open base design by removing the top and bottom layers, then exposing the infill, both to add to the model's pleasing design, as well as to reduce filament cost and print time.
