After years of not knowing that the iPhone could be used as a nightstand clock, I wanted a design that would look great in my room.
There are two stands and two bases. Both stands work with both bases.
Bases are printed at 80% infill for increased weight. The center of gravity of the stands are directly over the center of the base, so there is little risk for tipping.
Stands have two print profiles, one for multi color and one for single color. I use Hilbert Curves on the top surface to give a woven texture to the material. Feel free to play around with these settings as much as you want!
Bending: The stands are flattened for easier printing. Using a heat gun, heat the front side of the stand at the bend line and apply light pressure. By moving the heat back and forth, the stand will bend. Hold while it cools.
Bolt Version: Use Qty 2 M3 bolts at least 10mm long (up to 25mm long) to thread directly into the plastic base.
Slot Version: Align the stand and press to assemble.
MagSafe Charger: Press to install into stand. Charger should fit snuggly and can be removed. Double sided tape is only needed for a more permanent install. Thread the USB cable through the hole in the base and press into cable slot on bottom
