Description

16cm x 8cm small shelf panel for IKEA Skadis board. The fixture is snug fit providing a very sturdy platform for displaying small objects.

A small bump is added in the middle for extra security. The panels can be placed side by side. Works with the 8cm x 8cm as well.

Thank you for trying the model out. I haven't had the tips like that through my prints... I am curious why though and what can be done to improve.

I don't understand the dots at the back, but it works fine with tilted due to those.

Hi @geniejhang, thank you for trying it out. The dots supposed to be fit into the middle hole, one lower than the holes for L shaped hooks. You might need to push the panel slowly but firmly down to feel the click - once it's all the way in, the tray panel should be level against the Skadis board. I hope this explain what the dots are for, but please let me know if unclear. Thanks again!

Ahh. Okay. So, it was awkward because I put it into the bottom row lol. Thanks!

Hi @geniejhang thank you for making me realized that the middle dots gets in a way when the tray is positioned at the bottom row! The thought never occured to me! I have added a version without dots as alternative here. Thanks again!

Hi @hansdiegans! Sorry about having an issue... I was wondering if you could share more info on that, so that I can learn and improve.

3 out of 4 of the hacks were broken during support removal

this was my first print with supports and a little defect. 2 of the pins didn’t really come out perfectly causing one to snap off right away. still hangs beautifully on the skadis though. fits in perfectly with the original ikea stuff.

Oh sorry about having pins snapped off... It did happen to me too and I was hoping the last change of the support type (from tree slim to organic) should improve that situation. I'll look in at some point though. One thing I noticed, by the way, was that when I 'baked' the reel (dry up), the print got a lot better and I felt the support come off easier.

It doesnt have a 90° angle, but other than that works perfectly fine

Oh I am a little embarrassed to realise that I didn't even think of checking the angle... 😅 Thank you for sharing that. I can watch out next time 😊
