Description

This is a can/jar turning device.

Techically this is a KE50 wedge conveyor in a layout that typically is used in the canning industry. Empty aluminium cans or empty glass jars comes into the turning device, gets turned upside down, date (or something else) is printed on the bottom of the can/jar (that is now facing the roof) and an air nozzle is blowing debris out of the can/jar from below.

In this model there is only one, straight conveyor connecting the in and outfeed side of the wedge conveyor to make it a closed loop for simple prototyping. In a real world scenario, there would be one conveyor in and another conveyor out of the wedge.

This wedge conveyor is equipped with an adjustment wheel with which you easily can adjust the width of the entire wedge for different diameters/widths of product.

This model is appropriate for prototypes, educational purposes or even a rig at an exhibition.

Full step models, drawings and building instructions is provided in this manual and on Makerworld among the other files.
