Spicefinity — A Gridfinity Tiered Spice Rack System

I've been deep in the Gridfinity rabbit hole for a while now. If you're here, you probably know the feeling. You print one baseplate, then a couple bins for your desk, and suddenly you're measuring every drawer and shelf in your house wondering what else you can organize.

That's how this project started. I was standing in front of my spice cabinet one evening, shoving bottles around trying to find the cumin I knew was in there somewhere. The front row was the only row I could actually see. Everything behind it was a mystery. I'd already solved my workshop storage with Gridfinity, so the thought hit me: why not bring the same system into the kitchen?

The problem is, most spice racks are flat. One layer. You can see the front row and that's it. I wanted something that would let me open the cabinet door and read every single label at a glance.

 

So I designed Spicefinity.

 

The concept is simple. Three tiers of bins, each sitting a little higher than the one in front, like stadium seating for your spice jars. Every tier uses the same universal bin design. The height difference comes from separate modular risers that stack underneath. No special bin per tier. One bin, risers handle the rest.

  • Flat shelves in 2×2, 2×4, and 2×6 for larger bottles

All bins use a hex-pack staggered arrangement for round jars with 15mm deep pockets. The pockets are designed around 47.75mm diameter jars (like Savvy & Sorted 4oz rounds) but will accommodate most standard round spice jars up to 48mm.

Risers are 1×2 footprint and fully stackable. Mix and match to get whatever tier height your cabinet needs. Half + Half = Single. Single + Single = Double. Any combo works.

Flats give you open shelf space on the grid for things that don't fit in pockets, like olive oil bottles, spice grinders, or vinegar.

 

Why I'm sharing this.

 

I built Spicefinity because I wanted a better solution for my own kitchen. But the Gridfinity community is what made the whole ecosystem possible in the first place. Sharing designs, iterating on each other's work, pushing the system into new spaces. That's what makes it great.

I want to see what this looks like in your kitchens, on your printers, with your jars. Print it, test it, tell me what works and what doesn't. I'm actively developing this system and real-world feedback from other makers is worth more than anything I can learn printing on my own bench.

  • Designed and tested on a Bambu P1S
  • 3MF print profiles included with optimized settings
  • STL files included for non-Bambu users
  • No supports needed on any component
  • Bins print right-side up, footer on the build plate
  • Bring your own Gridfinity baseplate. Any standard grid works.
