Description
FlexWeave Fabric-Style US Flags (v2.0)
These are flexible, fabric-style 3D printed flags, designed to behave more like cloth than rigid plaques.
They’re built on a newly redesigned hex “fabric” mesh, giving improved flexibility, cleaner slicing, and more consistent multi-colour prints compared to the original version.
The hex pattern adds a subtle textile feel while remaining reliable to print on consumer machines.
Variants Included
Most flags are available in three variants:
Variant 1: Desk Flag (Original)
- Designed to mount on a pole and slot into the included printable stand
- Ideal for desks, shelves, and grouped displays
Variant 2: Large Hanging Flag (Hooks)
- Larger format (fills the Bambu X1C build plate)
- Hooks integrated into the top corners for wall or rail hanging
Variant 3: Large Hanging Flag (Cord Channel)
- Same large format as variant 2
- A horizontal cylinder channel across the top for threading cord, string, or wire
All variants use the same updated fabric mesh and flag geometry.
Design & Print Notes
- Designed for a 0.4 mm nozzle
- Optimised for AMS
- Some designs include raised details (~0.5 mm height difference) for elements like crosses or symbols, where it improves clarity
- Other designs remain fully flat where that better suits the flag
- Approx. 6-7.5 mm thick overall, depending on variant and flag
Accessories
Stand
- A matching printable stand is included for desk variants
- Recommended: at least 75% infill for stability
Available Flags
This collection is actively expanding to include all US states and other US-related flags, but requests are welcome!
Current designs include:
States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Chicago, Hawaii, Minnesota, New Mexico & Texas.
Other: Pow MIA, Thin Blue Line, Thin Red Line, US Navy & US Marine Corps.
A1 Mini & Scaling
You can scale it to fit on the A1 Mini, and it will print fine, however the flexibility will be reduced.
- Scale to 75% in Bambu Studio
- Print using the same settings
- After printing, bend, roll and flex the mesh tightly to loosen it up
The lowest scale is about 60% before the mesh itself won't slice for a 0.4mm nozzle.
Requests & Feedback
- Bug reports very welcome
- US-based flag requests also welcome
