I remixed an AMS spool weight holder to create a essentially a clamp for a bambu spool that I replaced the filament with a reload but did not properly assemble the two spool halves together properly. It partially came apart when I started using it. I was unable to reassemble the spool halves properly because the filament relaxed on the spool preventing me from pressing the halves together again. It was still usable but I needed a way to hold the halves together so I didn't have to scrap a brand new roll.

This spool saver fits into the AMS no problem. Slots are at each end so you can use a big flat blade screwdriver or a coin in helping tighten the two parts together.
