Description
Medieval Knight Helmet,
This is a little bit of a passion project for me since I was a kid and yes there are plenty of amazing Helmets out there, but this one is mine and I couldn't be happier on how it turned out! Simple in parts it prints in the helm itself and the vizor, the vizor pops on the pegs and you are good to go ready for battle! The helmet is battle damaged and has seen some fights, it gives it some character, so it does not look so perfect. Hope you guys like it! The pics you see is the helmet fresh off the printer no paint added yet, so it prints amazing and looks great if you don't want to paint it.
- The helmet is sized to my head so please be aware!!!!!!!
- My head size is 23 inches around so in hat size that is 7 3/8, the axis from front to back measures 8 inches and, side to side axis is 6 inches
- Reference, Budwins head sizes I am the #3 Head, which I think all of his masks and helmets on here are scaled too.
- I have left about ½ inch to ¾ inch of room in the helm for you to add padding. I have added ½ in padding to the top and front and back and ¼ padding for the sides of the head and those are the thick cosplay foam, but you could go thicker if it is a softer foam.
- I will just glue the leather chin straps in when I put those in
- The Visor had a lock pin on the right side that when put down it will lock into place and won't move without a lot of force. But to unlock it just simply pull the visor to the right side and lift up and you are good to go.
- There are two versions of the main helmet part, one with center supports and one without so you have options on what you prefer. I printed mine without and printed great just a little nest on the inside that you will never see if you put padding in it. Also, you have less risk of failure in the print if the center tree support fails then the whole print fails. Also, it knocks off about 2 hours of print time. I don't like to print with center supports if I don't have to but like I said you have the option there on what you are comfortable with.
- ***** A1 MINI profile added now, you will need to glue or weld all the parts together*****
