Description

This buckle can be used is multiple situations. My design is simple to print and is of low cost and designed to accept a flat woven strap of up to 20mm width.

The strength of these buckles can be improved by choosing strong plastics. Note that there needs to be some give in the plastic to allow the buckle to flex, hence carbon fibre based filaments may not do well.

The buckle is a common 20mm size, but you can also experiment and scale the buckle to your needs via your slicer software.

My print is made in eSUN PLA+ filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer. Inner supports are needed for the female part. See 3MF file.

I hope that you can find this print useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.

Hi. Please provide more information, including filament and printer used. Have you had recent problems with your printer being less than accurate? Was the print clean and without defects? Did you successfully and cleanly remove all the print supports? These things could be contributing to an unsuccessful part.

Sorry. I only speak English, but I translated your response. Unsure what to recommend. Could it be related to scaling? I suspect the problem lies with the close fit of the buckle parts. Maybe some filing might get you there? As you have found, there are many shared buckle designs. Glad you discovered one that better fits your needs.

A nice clip. Holds some kilograms of weight. Like it.

One of the best buckles I've printed in the past two weeks. I experimented with many different designs, but this one stood out. It features a step angle on the male side that ensures a secure hook. The others I tried had rounded sides and would slip out with less than 2kg of force. This one holds firm! Thank you. I'll print some in ASA to test their strength, using a smaller layer height and a bit more infill. We'll see how they turn out. For now, they're quite strong in Sunlu PLA+ white.
