Miniature Painting Handle with Swappable Caps

Many years ago, I printed a miniature painting handle, and since then, I lost the file, so I wanted to redesign it for hobbyists like me who need flexibility. This handle features a threaded top base and interchangeable mounting caps, so you can keep painting while your miniatures dry. The shape rests perfectly in your hand and is very comfortable, so you don’t get tired while spending long hours painting.

How It Works:

1. Print the Base: The handle features a comfortable ball grip for easy maneuvering.
2. Print Multiple Caps: Each cap threads securely onto the base.
3. Mount Your Mini: Use double-sided foam tape (or poster putty) to attach your miniature to the cap.
4. Swap & Go: Unscrew the cap when done, set the mini aside to dry, and screw on a fresh cap with a new miniature. No waiting, no downtime!

• No Supports Needed: Both parts print cleanly without support material.
• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer Height: 0.2mm recommended for crisp threads.
• Filament: PLA works great.
• Tip: For the cleanest threads and best fit, use sequential printing to avoid any travel moves interfering with the parts.
