Description

In my closet, I have a few of these brackets from Home Depot for holding a shelf and closet rod. Over the years, a few times, the original nylon rod mount has bent and caused the rod to fall to the ground. I designed this piece to replace the mount, with a deeper socket and thicker walls.

I printed these in PLA+ with 6 perimeters and 99% infill, then annealed them at 90C for 2 hours. I've had them mounted for a few months now with no deformation.

The first picture shows the printed piece installed on the bracket. The second is the original nylon part the print replaces. The last shows the iterations of modeling - 4 previous versions to get to the final model.

I will continue to update this if any of mine fail.
