Description

Summary

Chillet from Palworld with color!

Pictured is the .3mf file printed on Bambu Labs X1C with 2x AMS. Prints all in one piece with supports. Took over 4 days to print on X1C, there is a ton of waste so make sure you monitor whatever container you have and empty it out occasionally if it's not that big

I may make another version in the future with each color part printed separately and assembled later, this was my first big multi color print and wanted to see how the printer handled it, it did well but I think it is still more practical to print parts separately and assemble especially with the post processing I did anyway

NOTE I wouldn't attempt to print these parts separately and assemble later as they currently are, there is no tolerance and lower body was not difference booleaned with hands and feet so they can't be assembled only printed as a single piece

Special thanks to Ressix who uploaded the Chillet model that inspired this and for responding to my DM asking how they extracted the model asset :)

Post-Printing

Take care with support removal

Take your time with support removal! The .3mf file has settings to use PVA interface material and 0 z distance between the interface and parts. I accidentally snapped off the tips of two of the back spikes and had to super glue them back on, and the tips were not easy to remove from the supports after breaking. You may want to risk some lighter supports on those structures, or even print the back spikes separately. Just note that they have no tolerance so might have to adjust the model or file down a bit after printing before assembling with super glue

Touch up with paint

Some supported surfaces ended up looking slightly scuffed color-wise, so I touched them up with matte acrylic paint since I used matte filaments (underside of head mainly, I actually just painted over his mouth and everything white and repainted the black line for the mouth over that). Pictured are the paints and brushes I used that I picked up from Michaels
