Description

Don't you just love Will's AMS stacker rack? I sure do. I had a 2-tier for a pair of AMS 2, using Print3DZ's mod, and it was beautiful. I recently upgraded to an H2D, and in the process picked up a 2nd AMS-HT, giving me a 2+2 setup, 1 of each AMS type for each nozzle. Naturally, I needed a way to store the 2nd HT unit, which I lacked the space for. I was thrilled to see that Will came out with a new tray for 3x AMS-HT recently, so I got to work printing an upgrade to my setup. The HT showed up today, and I got it all installed - love it. But there I was, staring at a big hole in between my 2 AMS-HT units, so what did I do?

Yeah, I had to Gridfinity all the things! With an HT at either side, leaving the space in the middle, it's just a bit larger than a 3x6 Gridfinity base, so I put this together this evening. Turned out GREAT, perfect fit. Yes, there's a TINY bit of supports involved here, and assuming you're printing in PLA, I suggest PETG as a support interface, or the specialized interface materials, if you'd rather. Anyhow, I printed, popped out the supports, glued in the little nubs/feet, and here we are!

Yes, the base is solid, and that's intentional. I figured I didn't want to find myself accidentally dropping stuff that falls through a grid, bounces off an AMS and lands somewhere hard to reach/find, so it's a solid bottom, though only an extra 2mm above the normal Gridfinity Light-style base.

My sample print was done in Polymaker's Dark Gray PLA Pro with Polymaker PETG as a support interface.
