Description

I replicated the Wilson airless basketball stand as shown in the official product photos.

I designed this to be as close as possible in size to the real stand, while also fitting on a single X1C/P1P build plate.

The default print profile fits an official NBA size 7 basketball (~240mm diameter), but it can be scaled down further if needed.

There are two pieces that you will need to print, both included in the 3MF file:

  • The Stand: prints in one piece, with very minimal and easy to remove tree supports. Contains a slot for the Wilson badge. The default profile has fuzzy skin enabled, but you can turn this off to save on print time.
  • The Wilson Badge: The “Wilson Airless Gen1” text. This slides into the stand's badge slot. You can create your own badges for this slot as well.

Filament used in the pictures:

  • Stand: Aceaddity Space Gray PETG (fuzzy skin enabled)
  • Badge:
    • Overture Matte Light Brown PLA
    • Kingroon Matte Black PLA

Perfect for my Ball. I did modify the name plate by flipping it over and putting my own text on it. Took a while to print for a simple stand, but I don't know that much about the structure and configuration to see why. Thanks.

i saw your coin rack as i was looking at your stand, and you just sent me down a rabbit hole, my friend. I have quite a few from my time serving and have never thought of making a stand until now. I'm new to 3d printing but thanks.

It took a while since I have fuzzy skin enabled by default. If you disable that it be a lot quicker!

Matches the real stand pretty closely with the fuzzy skin and transparent grey PETG.

Printed two of these stands for the two basketballs I printed for my grandsons. Turned out beautifully. I am new to 3-D printing so I don’t know how to do it but I would love to have a plate that says GEN 12 and GEN 13 to match the files of the two basketballs I printed for him. I haven’t figured out how to do that yet.
