Description

To celebrate easter I decided to make an egg shaped Pokéball twist lock container. This container is perfect as a “giftbox” or as gift itself.

It features the same twist lock bayonet mount like my Love Ball. The size is proportional to a “real” Pokéball instead off an egg. The Diameter is about 75mm.

How to assemble?

You only need the printed parts and some drops of super glue. The different print profiles are set up with colors for the classic Pokéball, aswell as the Premierball. If you want any specific color combinations, just drop a comment.

The square cutout is only meant for alignment. Please glue the shell+inner. If you don't do this, the square will probable break due to stress.

Print Profile information:

The print profile is standard 0.2mm but with adaptive layerheights at the top for best round tip. The outer walls are also slowed down to give a uniform look. I suggest to print with my profiles.

only complaint is that it is too heavy and round on the bottom so you can’t really display it. thank you for the design !

I actually like the heavyness. Best to use with a stand. I will make a small one tomorrow.

Great little gift for pokenerds! The fit could be a bit tighter, but overall it works well.

I had to make a choice, so I went with little loose. Drop a bit of superglue on the three teeth. If its to snug after that, you can sand them a bit down.

printed well and I like the design but on both of my prints the twist lock was too loose to keep the egg closed so it wasn't really functional to store anything in them and they don't stand for display (likely not intended purpose but they would be fun to display)

Sorry to hear. Its hard to design such a mechanism to work for every printer/filament. I decided to better make it rather loose than too tight. Possible solution: Add a tiny amount of superglue to the 3 teeth for the mechanism and let it dry. The fit should now be tighter. If too tight, just cut/sand a bit down.

This thing is huge! Walls are massive. also the little tabs of the white half circles did not fit well so had to manually cut them to make it fit. And it would be nice if the bottom would be flat so we can put them on a desk or the floor. Overall nice print! Thanks!

had some issues because my Fan wasn't working (Bad Overhang which is my fault) but was able to still salvage the Print. The Tolerance could be tighter so the top wouldn't be as loose. I used a bit of glue like it is mentiomed in other comments to help with the lid. Fits with the Pokeball stand.
