Heavy-Duty Snap-Fit Shelf Post Bracket
This is a custom-engineered replacement bracket designed specifically for shelving units with 12mm diameter posts.
Key Features:
- Precision Snap-Fit: Designed with a 12mm opening to securely "bite" onto standard shelf posts.
- Strength-First Design: Engineered to be printed on its side to ensure the grain of the plastic runs the length of the arm—preventing layer delamination.
- Universal Mounting: Features two centered 4.5mm holes, pre-chamfered to allow #8 or #10 wood screws to sit perfectly flush against the plate.
- Print-Friendly: No supports required when printed on its side!
Recommended Print Settings:
- Orientation: Lay flat on its side (profile view).
- Walls: 4–5 Wall Loops (for structural integrity).
- Infill: 40% Gyroid.
- Material: PLA for standard use; PETG or ASA for heavy-duty or garage environments.
Why I Made This:
I needed a reliable way to secure a shelving unit where the original hardware was missing. This design provides a much larger surface area against the wall, reducing "see-saw" wobble and keeping everything level.
