Description

This is an adapter plate to convert the stock Kobra Go to using a Stealthburner hotend.

I am using a BambuLabs hotend, but all other stealth burner parts are stock Voron. A small change will need to be made to the rear motor plate in order to fit on the adapter plate, I used a knife to shave down the part to fit on the adapter. If you print with recommended Voron settings, there is more than enough material to trim down here.

I used standard Voron spec M3 heat inserts for all the screws. For the probe adapter, You will reuse the set screw from the stock probe holder. I used an M3 tap to thread the printed part for the set screw. The insert on the left side of the adapter plate is for an adjustable screw intended to hit the x end stop. Make sure to put a screw here or your printer will crash when attempting to home X. My offset with this setup is 20mm on the Y axis.

The adapter is held onto the Gantry Plate with the 2 original hotend screws. I put an M3 washer on them. Place the adapter on the gantry plate, with the ABL holder slotted in. The 2 screws should be more than enough to hold the assembly on.

To makeup for the hotend being moved forward, I shifted the entire Y axis rail up. Take all 4 bolts out, use T nuts and M4 screws in the rear bolt holes going up into the rail, and then reuse the M5 screws and lock washers to bolt the assembly back on. I took this idea from the SIBOOR Enderwire Kit. It worked like a charm and let me keep the full bed size for my Kobra.

The stealth burner is a bit loud, but the cooling is amazing for PLA, plus now I have RGB lights.

Enjoy your new Stealth Kobra!
