Description
Display your "precious" vintage in style with this Lord of the Rings inspired wine holder. The holder features the Elvish inscription from the One Ring and rests securely on a jagged, rocky base modeled after the fires of Mount Doom.
This is a functional display piece that balances a standard Bordeaux and narrow-ended Burgundy 750ml wine bottles, creating a magical floating effect perfect for any Middle-earth fan's bar or dining table.
Print Settings
This model consists of two parts: the Ring (holder) and the Base (Mount Doom).
The Ring
- Filament: PLA Silk Gold recommended.
- Resolution: 0.16mm layer height
- Infill: 15%
- Support: No supports needed, but a small 2-3mm brim on the inside of the ring will help if you're having bed adhesion issues.
The Base
- Filament: Generic Black PLA / Matte Black PLA
- Resolution: 0.2mm layer height (The rock texture hides layer lines well, so a coarser draft height works great)
- Infill: 10% (Sufficient for the base as it is mostly structural support)
Aesthetic Tips
- Silk Filament: Using a Silk Gold filament is highly recommended for the ring to catch the light and mimic the look of forged gold without needing to paint.
- Text Orientation: Ensure your seam placement is set to "Back" or aligned manually to avoid interrupting the Elvish inscription.
Usage
Place the black rocky base on a flat surface. Insert the “key” on the bottom of the ring into the slot in the base. I recommend a dab of glue if you're going to be storing a full wine bottle.
Note: Designed for standard 750ml wine bottles.
