Flexi Manta Ray — Articulated Desk Toy

Important: This model was developed and tested on Bambu Lab printers.
If you are using another printer or slicer, please make sure your machine is calibrated and settings are tuned correctly.
I can’t guarantee identical results on every third-party setup.

Cute articulated manta ray printed as a single piece with no assembly required.
Thanks to the segmented flexi design, the wings and tail move smoothly, making it a fun fidget toy as well as a decorative desk figure.

The model is optimized for FDM 3D printing and prints without supports.
Works great with PLA+, PLA Tough, or PETG.

No supports. No brim.
This is a print-in-place model designed to print 100% without supports or brim.
Adding them will actually break flexibility and cause issues.

Before printing Print without supports. Clean the build plate before printing. Use dry filament. Ensure your printer is properly calibrated. If you experience adhesion issues, wash the plate with warm water and dish soap.

Recommended Filament

For best durability this flexi toy is recommended to be printed with PLA+, PLA HF, PLA Tough+ or PETG.
Standard PLA can be more brittle and may break if the joints are forced.

Tested with Bambu Lab PLA Touch+ and holds up well during regular play.

Important
This model is designed as a decorative flexi toy. The joints move freely but should not be forced beyond their natural range.

The eyes are designed as a tight press-fit, so no glue is required 🙂

To install them, gently press them in using the handle of a tool (for example, a support removal tool) — this gives better control and prevents damage.

If needed, you can slightly warm the part in your hands or scale the model up by 1–2% for easier insertion.

The fit is intentionally tight to ensure the eyes stay in place without glue.
