Description

This Antler-style Wall Hook (inspired by Deer and Ram horns) is designed to be printed flat for maximum strength and then heat-bent into its final functional shape. Because it is printed flat, the filament layers run the full length of the hook, making it incredibly strong compared to traditionally printed hooks.

Print the flat version at 100% fill and then heat ends with hot water and bend over a pipe to curve the hooks.
Or lasercut (flat pattern included) steel and bend -180 at R 14-16 mm

How to Create Your Hook:

  • Print: Use the flat-pack file provided.
  • Heat: Use a heat gun, hair dryer, or dip the "neck" of the hook in boiling water for 30-60 seconds until the plastic becomes pliable.
  • Bend: Carefully bend the antler forward to your desired angle.
  • Set: Hold it in place or dip it in cold water to "lock" the shape.

Print settings:

  • Materials: PLA is easiest to bend. PETG works but requires more heat.
  • i have them at 100% infill, less wil work, but keep a nice amount of wall-loops for strength.
