Was making a “Brick” table for my son and though, 10$ a pop for plates? No way!
So this is just a VERY simple version. It works very well using the .3mf provided for the X1c.
If you do not wish to use the .3mf i recommend the following settings:
Material : I just use PLA, PETG could be good, real “bricks” are made from ABS, I don't care for the smell so i'm sticking with PLA.
0.4mm nozzle
0.16mm optimal # BBL X1C
Line width
Top Surface pattern : Concentric
Top shell layers : 3
Bottom surface pattern : Rectilinear
Sparse infill density : 25
Sparse infill pattern : Gyroid
As far as speed:
Initial layer : 40
Initial layer infill : 95
Last but not least, bed adhesion
Brim type : Outer brim only
Brim width : 7mm
Now you can play around with the infill, i went down to 5% which I used for my purpose (a glued on wood plate). I wouldn't recommend it for playable plates as it makes them too brittle and .. well lets face it, our “young ones” are not exactly delicate yet!
Hope you guys like it. I plan on releasing another version that would be evenr better for glue adhesion.
