Skull Shift Knobs - Low Poly & Smooth Edition

Add a unique and "dark" touch to your interior with these skull-shaped gear shift knobs! This project includes two design variants to best suit your vehicle's style

📦 What you will find in the profile:

2. Smooth Skull (Gear Map): A skull with more organic lines that includes the gear shift pattern (1-5 + R) engraved on the top for a perfect integration with the Ford Transit MK2

🛠 Printing and Post-Processing Tips (Important!)

To achieve the best aesthetic result and thermal resistance (essential inside a car, especially in summer), I highly recommend using ABS or ASA

• Recommended material: ABS (Black or Gray)
• Layer height: 0.12mm - 0.16mm to minimize layer lines
• Infill: At least 25-40% Gyroid to ensure structural robustness during use
• Supports: Required ("Tree" supports are recommended for easier removal)

✨ Finish: Acetone Vapor Polishing

The photos you see show the result obtained after treatment with acetone vapors

1. Print the model in ABS
2. Expose the part to acetone vapors for about 20-40 minutes (depending on the size of the vaporization chamber)
3. The result: Print lines will completely disappear, leaving a smooth, shiny, and reflective surface as if it were resin or injection-molded plastic

⚠️ Safety Notes

• Make sure the mounting hole is compatible with your vehicle's shift lever... I designed it to be "difficult" to insert... you need to rotate and push the knob firmly onto the lever until it reaches the desired depth
• ABS resists heat better than PLA, preventing the knob from deforming under the scorching sun
