Description

A souvenir coin for the people excited about the 2024 solar eclipse.

I'll be updating with new states within the line of totality (though I probably will not print all of them).

Print face down for the best results.

Current states added: NY, OH, ME, KY, VT, TX, PA, OK, NH, MO, IN, IL (All in totality)

First, thanks for doing this. I've printed about 50 of the Ohio version and the fronts look fantastic. There seems to be something in the last 5 or so layers that displays like random white dots in the slicer, but actually does print and causes an irregular bottom surface. Is this just me?

Mine were pretty smooth, have you tried adjusting your infill? could be caused by too far of a gap between infill. Im not sure if i had adaptive layers on also, but that may help

So, I tried infill adjustment and then scrolled through sliced layers - these "dots" or whatever they are, exist through the entire thickness of the coin. Below is a screen shot from Bambu Studio. I don't plan to print any more of these, but I'm still curious as to what's going on.

Just awesome. Required painting of the parts, but just awesome. I will print some larger ones for coasters tomorrow! This pic is the Coin size 60mm model.

Would it be possible to get the models as an STL file?

for a raised option? so you can color change at height? if i save this exact one as an stl it would just be a round disc.

I don't know, I don't think the printer I use can use the current file option. I'd also like to print it in one color.

I am only able to download the Ohio version for some reason? Super new to this website, if anyone can help.

Go under the RAW model files and you will find the alternate states. If you "open in bambu" it will give you the Ohio one specifically because that is the print profile I have uploaded.
